Organic Cotton
Eco friendly products continue to grow in popularity. Bamboo, recycled plastics, and 100% organic cotton are several of the eco friendly materials being used to create incredible fabrics. These fabrics are being used to make apparel that feels great, is moisture wicking and also good for our environment.
Botanically bamboo is known as a grass. It is the fastest growing plant on earth, largely due to its ability to absorb water. Bamboo is a naturally renewable product and is easy on the environment because it grows well without harmful pesticides. The bamboo fiber produces a very soft hand, bright sheen and makes a great moisture wicking/performance fabric.
Polyester fabrics made from recycled consumer plastic bottles helps our environment in several ways. Key benefits are reduced waste in landfills, decreased energy consumption and conserving petroleum recourses used in the production of new polyester. These fabrics have great moisture wicking abilities, which helps to keep us dry and fresh.
Because of cotton's versatility, it is used for many fiber products, making it one of the most widely traded commodities on earth. The traditional method of growing and harvesting one pound of cotton, takes a toll on the earth. Traditional growing methods deplete the nutrients form the soil and with the heavy use of pesticides to increase the yield, the soil often becomes sterile. That means the farmers must rely on additives, synthetic fertilizers and even more pesticides, plus vast quantities of water to keep the cotton growing.

Organic farming never uses chemicals or pesticides, which restores and builds up the soil. Far less water is needed and the restored earth results in stronger plants. Water run off from organic fields, does not pollute, because no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers were used.

Each field and each bale of cotton is specifically certified to be sure that it contains certified organic materials. That means that all the certified organic standards for the growing and processing of the cotton were used.
By choosing eco friendly and organic apparel, you are joining a growing movement of people who care about the environment. It shows that you care where your clothing comes from. It is a growing movement that respects the environment and wants to protect and preserve it.
